Dear Community, December 18, 2024. That is the date set for the state of Indiana’s first execution in nearly 15 years. But we are determined not to let that happen. Not in Our Name. Since Indiana’s last state execution, nine states have ended the death penalty, and 12 more haven’t carried out an execution in more than 10 years. That brings the total number of states that have ended the death penalty or no longer use it to 35. There are so many reasons why Indiana shouldn’t resume executions. Most importantly, the death penalty is inconsistent with a culture that values the dignity of human life. Please join us in asking Governor Holcomb to prevent Indiana from resuming executions. |
It will take thousands of Hoosiers standing up. Most importantly, Governor Holcomb needs to hear from you. We need your help. Please sign our petition and help us spread the word by sharing it far and wide. Together, we can raise our voices and proclaim loudly: “Not in Our Name.” Thank you, -Indiana Abolition Coalition |
